AccuFLEX Golf,
In 2001, AccuFLEX Golf shafts exploded onto the professional golf scene, making major inroads on the Buy.Com Tour and on the professional Long Drive circuit. The launch of the AccuFLEX ICON and ICON V.2 Tour shafts in 2002 earned victories on both the PGA and Buy.com Tours within two weeks of its introduction. The ICON was in the bag of the 2002 PGA Advil Western Open champion, as well as in the bag of the 2002 Buy.com SAS Carolina Classic winner. On October 19th of 2002 AccuFLEX Golf capped off its remarkable year with three wins at the ReMax World Long Drive Championship. Carl Wolter used the AccuFLEX ASSASSIN and ASSASSIN 2 shafts to come from nowhere to shock the Long Drive World by winning the men's Open Division championship. Pat Dempsey took the Men's Senior Title with the AccuFLEX PRO LD while Lauren Motyl grabbed the Girl's Junior crown with the AccuFLEX VIZION shaft in her driver. One week later Todd Barranger, who used the AccuFLEX ICON shafts in his driver and fairway woods all season, earned his 2003 PGA Tour card by finishing in the Top Fifteen on the Buy.com Tour's Money Leader list. AccuFLEX's successful launch onto the professional Tours, unprecedented for a shaft company this young, is the direct result of over three years of research and development that went into creating the AccuFLEX product line, which utilizes AccuFLEX's revolutionary (and proprietary) filament winding process. In order to succeed at our stated mission of making "A Golf Shaft to Fit Every Swing", we at AccuFLEX knew that we would first have to satisfy the performance requirements of Tour and Long Drive professionals, the most demanding clientele in golf.
Mission accomplished. In 2001, Buy.Com Tour players raved about the AccuFLEX PRO, VIZION and TOUR shafts. Based on discussions with Tour Players and with Tom Hunt, proprietor of the "Buy.Com Golf Club Workshop", we developed the ICON and ICON V.2 for 2002 and the AccuFLEX PGA Tour victories in 2002 provided proof that these shafts are winners. These exciting entries feature AccuFLEX's unique "A2" advanced design graphite composite, which was developed to make our revolutionary ASSASSIN Long Drive shaft.
Speaking of Long Drive…AccuFLEX is proud of its contributions to the shaft technology of this ever-growing sport. Starting with the X-FACTOR and the EXTREME LD (our most successful and popular Long Drive shaft), AccuFLEX has gone on to create four more shafts, which have revolutionized Long Drive shaft technology. "What AccuFLEX has accomplished in the sport of Long Drive is remarkable", began AccuFLEX Elite Long Drive team member and 2000 World # 4 ranked Long Driver Greg Walker. "No other shaft company has ever been able to make a shaft over 55" in length that weighs less than 100 grams while being truly stiff enough for World Class Long Drive Professionals. In less than six months AccuFLEX came out with two, the ASSASSIN and ASSASSIN 2. When you add the new PRO LD at 50" and the HAVOC at 62" made with the same A2 material, to the two 57" ASSASSIN shafts, AccuFLEX has created the best line of Long Drive shafts available for any possible driver configuration a Long Driver could want."
While Tour and Long Drive professionals are the most challenging segment of the golf shaft market, AccuFLEX has created a high performance line of shafts for the general golfing public as well. In addition to offering a full range of flex options in our Tour-proven AccuFLEX ICONs, PRO, TOUR, VIZION and TITANIUM HELIX shafts, we at AccuFLEX have created the 200 SERIES and TOUR ELITE lines of wood and iron shafts to meet the diverse needs of the golf shaft market. These shafts, along with the AccuFLEX EXTREME 2 distance-enhancing graphite shaft for woods (new for 2002) and our ACCURATE LITE and TOUR STEPLESS steel shafts, are becoming key components in the shops of club builders around the world. AccuFLEX also offers our .350 and .370 COMPETITION SERIES, which are high performance, tour-proven shafts designed to fit the oversized hosels featured in many drivers and fairway woods on the market today.
In the near future, we at AccuFLEX look forward to bringing new products and innovations to the general golfing public. Our international network of designers and engineers are currently working with our manufacturing department on a new, heavier prototype version of our successful ICON shaft, which should be ready during the summer of 2002. A 48" shaft with flex options ranging from "Regular" to "XXXX", and a set of ladies shafts specifically designed to add extra distance are in the initial design phase. Look for these additions in the Spring of 2003.
We at AccuFLEX would like to thank all of our current and future customers for their support. We appreciate you recognizing what we are trying to do and we pledge to continue to work with our design team to bring to you the latest cutting edge technology at a fair price. After all, you can't claim to make "A Golf Shaft to Fit Every Swing" if no one can afford to buy your products.
